Finally saw "The Way"
I’ve wanted to see it since hearing Emilio & Martin on Fresh Air. Because I like to weep uncontrollably multiple times on a plane next to strangers. When are we walking El Camino de Santiago de Compostela? Seriously. I’m IN.

Ugh, I'm sad Christopher Hitchens died.
I foolishly (but knowingly) allowed myself not to think realistically but instead optimistically that we wouldn’t lose this thinker, writer, arguer to the cancer so obviously taking him. And so it goes. I was more than lucky to have had the same foolish optimism work in my favor a decade ago, so I’ll also be thankful (and always bewildered) while saddened by this news.

Facebook Hiding 'Other' Messages From You
Just read this Slate article about a woman who didn’t know that someone had found her laptop in a cab and was trying to contact/help her by writing to her on Facebook, because Facebook effectively hid the message in this ‘Other’ folder that only appears when you click on ‘Messages.’
So I just clicked on MY ‘Other’ messages and found this from November...
You know how sometimes you get bummed when you find out some celebrity has a significant other, because maybe you had a chance that’s now dashed (which you ultimately know is bullshit)?
I just seriously searched the words “married” and “girlfriend” on a guy’s Wikipedia page. As if I’ll ever wind up with someone who even has his own Wikipedia page.

Punch Brothers moved their show from March 9th to March 10th, and I can’t make it that night. I’ll sell them to anyone who wants them today, otherwise I’ll get a refund from Ticketmaster. This is really gonna set back my wedding date with Chris Thile. Sadface.
